John Cena vs. Dominik Mysterio

OK I'm changing my mind here. While Cena has accepted some of his career defining wish list moments as part of his farewell tour (a heel turn, his 17th title run, and a run with the IC title), he's been putting younger talent over for years and I can see him doing that for the winner of the tournament. The pundits are saying that if Cena loses the IC title to the tournament winner, it will elevate the title and the winner's career, and that's a good point. Even though it would be going out on a loss, it seems fitting for John. In order for that to play out, he has to beat Dirty Dom here.

I think John Cena needs to successfully defend the Intercontinental Championship at least once to make his reign legit, so I really hope he retains here. He can either drop it to his last opponent at SNME or they can put it up in a tournament after he's done.

Absolutely no reason for John Cena to lose here if he's likely losing his retirement match a few weeks later.

Cena last win?

I truly want John Cena to be victorious in his Last ever match at SNME in December. Giving Dominik the win here would be great passing the torch moment.

the judgment day will screw it up for Dom somehow

Cena puts over Rey Mysterio's son.
