What am I allowed to say / post?

Just about anything you want, within reason. There are some rules and guidelines. Please read them before posting.

How do I make my prophecy?

Log in and open the event, then My Prophecy. Tap the side you think will win each match: each pick saves as you make it. To say why, tap the speech bubble, write your prophecy and press I Have Spoken.

Can I change my picks?

As often as you like until picks close. Tap the other side to change a pick, or tap your pick again to take it back.

When do picks close?

At the event’s start time, or as soon as the first result is entered, whichever comes first.

What is a lock?

Locks were added to Wrestling Oracle as of WrestleMania XXIV. For each event, name the match you’re most sure about as your lock to try to earn a bonus point. Bonus points will be taken into consideration when ranking the Wise Ones for each event. Wise Ones are still ranked by points, one point per correct pick. But Wise Ones with the same point total are further ranked by bonus points. Those with correct locks will be ranked higher. But choose wisely. Those with incorrect locks will be ranked lower. If your lock is on a match that ends in a no contest or never happens, it counts for nothing either way. You can move your lock until picks close.

How are the Wise Ones ranked?

By points first, then by the lock’s bonus point, then by accuracy (how many of your picks were right). Oracles still tied share the rank, listed by who settled their prophecy first. The top three win the Heavyweight, Intercontinental and Cruiserweight belts, shared by everyone tied for the spot.

Why is a match not listed?

Matches are posted within 24 hours of when they are officially announced on TV or wwe.com. (If there is a match we’re missing after 24 hours, please let us know.) Matches announced at the last minute are not posted because not enough Oracles have a chance to predict.

What if a scheduled match changes / never happens?

All matches that don’t actually occur, have a last minute change, or end in a “no contest” will be removed from the event at our discretion. No points will be awarded for such matches and the possible point total for the event will be decreased accordingly.

Can I have more than one account?

Please use one account per user. Have a little pride. In fairness to everyone, oracles caught using multiple accounts will have their accounts deleted.

Can I get an e-mail when matches are added?

Yes: turn on match e-mails in Account Settings. Every e-mail has a link that turns them off again.

I forgot my password or Login ID.

Use Forgot your password? We’ll e-mail you your Login ID and a link to choose a new password.

Why are TNA matches not included on this site?

Straight from The Tocc: I don’t have anything against TNA. I just don’t watch it. Maybe one day I will, but until then I maintain WrestlingOracle because I enjoy it. Keeping up with the site is not difficult because I use every feature personally and watch WWE religiously. Adding TNA as an option would be a lot of work for me between getting the matches and results, generating graphics, etc. I don’t make any money on the site so there is not much incentive to include features I would not use.
